Powersupply :

A while ago I built some computers for a local club. All computers were built into Aopen's HX08 cabinet which came with a 300W powersupply from Fortron Sparkle Powerman (FSP300-60GT) - and these powersupplies are noisy !

So with that in mind I asked for a Q Technology 300W QuietPC power supply from our sponsor GlobalCool / 3DfxCool .  And this 300W powersupply with a 80mm Adda fan is surprisingly silent compared to other powersupplies I have had and it handles big power drains without any problem.

There are three different versions of the Q Technology power supplies: 230 W, 250W and the 300W version which we have here.Both the 250Watt model and the 300W model are "Athlon" approved by AMD according to QuietPC .

I suggest you go for the 300W powersupply to be sure that you don't run into any problems with single AMD processors. This powersupply have been tested in socket VapoChill by us and did not give us a single problem in a high end - powerhungry raid system with GeForce2 Ultra and heavily overclocked T'Bird's.
