Jumpstarters is the correct name if you ask us ! Why is that ? After you have booted your computer you can actually remove the overclocking device and it will still run at the speed you have choosen !

We used a 0,25micron Athlon550 with 650core/ 3,6ns for this tests, the cache is default 1/2. Our modified Alpha PIII125s cooler were used - picture.

We have tested three modules - they perform 100% equal performancewise with our Athlon using default L2 ! But when we soldered our 0,25micron Athlon550 with 650core/3,6ns to 2/5 L2 we discovered that Leufkens jumpstarter (GFD) was not able to take our Athlon to 950MHz (picture). NinjaFreeSpeedPro and Nortwinds GFD had no problems. With NinjaFreeSpeedPro we had to use a core voltage of 1.8V whilst the Northwind needed 1.7V to stabilize the Athlon : This means that by using  Northwind' GFD instead of Ninja' this Athlon pumps out ~10 watts less heat !
