|Tim's WaterCooled peltier|
Without doubt - Tim Whittaker did it cheaper and more simple than us - he made his from a 4" PVC drain plug !
"My design is very easy to construct and never leaked
once in over
Drain plug purchased at the hardware store for $1.65US.The underside of the cap...see where the peltier is going to go?
The everything but the "knob" is trimmed away, holes are drilled for the hose barbs and the barbs are screwed in using a little pipe-thread compound to seal the threads. No "tapping" of the holes is required since the block is made of plastic. The smooth surface of the plastic is "roughed-up" a bit with medium sandpaper so the epoxy can get a better bond.
See how nicely the 40mm peltier fits the hole? Just glue it in place using some strong epoxy (I used JB Weld) and you are ready to rock.
You can also make a slot 1 version by not cutting off as much of the cap !
