How about this -- the heatsink and fan occupies three pci
Well the guy I built this for is a hardcore gamer - the idea came
when he told me he was going to buy a CL GeForce and was selling
his CL 3D Blaster Riva TNT2Ultra - we decided to do some real overclocking !
First we had to take off the original chip cooler --
used some sort off glue (thats the white stuff lying beside the chip itself)
- which I cant imagine will transfer heat very well..The chip itself wasn't
flat (leveled) so we had to sand the chip itself before we fastened the cold
plate onto the chip !
Here is the parts we used on top the peltier cold plate,a
off 50(!) watts ,insulation and a AMD K6 cooler from 3dfxcool...
Overclocking : what about 198MHz on the core and 200 on the
My friend suddenly decided to drop his GeForce SDR plans
So how did we manage to assemble this
without any fasteners ?
It's quite easy actually - and we did this a year ago - go here
You also need a device to control the peltier with - if not
you will get
condensation - which you don't want ! A adjustable device is preferred -
and we fastened the temperaturesensor on the backside off the chip - this
is the device we used - and here is where you can get it in Europe / US.
