Page II : VapoChill Pictures A lot off people have asked about the performance off the VapoChill - a question that comes up again and again is : why is the VapoChill performing better than Kryotech ? It's difficult to understand since Kryotechs unit can go as far down as minus 40' degree celsius. Two reasons why VapoChill is so effective is Aseteks patented evaporator and the high output compressor they use.
Aseteks evaporator is extremely effective as you can see of this picture - there is no magic achieving sub-zero temperatures like this : a peltiersolution can do the same. But a peltier solution cannot maintain such low temperatures under load. And besides a peltiersolution have a several negative sideeffects which a solution as VapoChill doesn't have. Here is VapoChill's strength : it removes heat much more effective than a peltiersolution can do and is still able to maintain low temperatures under heavy loads. Kryotech is not able to maintain -40'C under load either - another important issue is : where do Kryotech measure this temperature ? At the coldest point possible ? I would like to put a VapoChill up against a Kryotech - and did contact them regarding this ( Steve Stollar -- nice guy by the way :) .. ) - but they didn't have a test machine available in Norway at the time.
Well we have promised a lot off pictures in this test : we attached a Alpha heatsink to the VapoChill evaporator : 5 minutes after starting the compressor After 10 minutes. After 15 minutes. After 20 minutes. After 25 minutes.
We took off the Alpha heatsink and submerged the evaporator in water (+12'C) and this is how it looks like after 15 minutes ! And this is the look of the evaporator 10 minutes after it came out off the water. Looks cold --- he ? :) Note : the compressor had been running before we did this test -- so the freon was released from the oil ( warm compressor). Page II : VapoChill Pictures |
